Joheirry Mola, a 24-year-old Dominican Republic model, won the Miss World 2026 title during the competition held in Nha Trang, Vietnam. This is her second crown for the country, following Mariasela Alvarez's 1982 victory. Mola competed against 111 contestants and emerged as the winner.
Elisabeth Reynes Alabern of Spain was first runner-up, and Taanusiya Chetty from Malaysia was second runner-up. The top six finalists included participants from Eritrea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Dominican Republic, Spain, and South Africa. Nigeria’s contestant, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, reached the top 12 via the People’s Choice Award.
The event marked the 75th anniversary of Miss World, with the 73rd edition held in Vietnam. Julia Morley, CEO of the Miss World Organization, announced the winners. The competition began on August 8, 2026, and concluded on September 5, 2026.
Mr. World 2024 Daniel Mejía and Miss World 2016 Stephanie del Valle hosted the event. Additionally, Romanda Hombir from South Africa won the top model competition for Africa, while Karibi-George won the top model competition for the African continent during the competition.
The contestants were initially dressed in evening gowns before transitioning to Vietnamese Áo dài and stylish dresses as announced by the host.
